Tendonitis Support (Tennis & Golfer’s Elbow, Achilles) — Spring, TX
Tennis elbow that’s lingered for months. Achilles that aches every morning. Tendons heal — but slowly, because they’re poorly vascularized. Modalities that support circulation and tissue signaling matter.
What’s going on
Tendons heal more slowly than most other tissues because they’re relatively poorly vascularized. That’s why tendonitis tends to linger — and why interventions that support local circulation and tissue signaling are often added to standard PT-based care.
Red light, PEMF, and hyperbaric oxygen all have published research bases relevant to soft-tissue recovery. We’ve built a tendon-focused stack that members typically run alongside their PT or sports medicine plan.
Common signs people describe
- Tennis or golfer’s elbow that won’t quite resolve
- Achilles tendon ache in the morning
- Wrist or forearm pain with grip
- Tender ‘rope’ in the tendon when you press it
- Worse after the activity that caused it
- Has been bothering you for weeks or longer

What the research says
Peer-reviewed studies on the modalities used in this protocol. We share these for educational context, not as claims that any therapy will produce a specific result for you.
Studies referenced describe general effects observed in published research and are not guarantees of individual outcomes. Always consult your physician.

Frequently asked questions
How long does tendonitis usually take to resolve?
Often weeks to months. Tendons heal slowly. These modalities may support — not shortcut — the process.
Should I rest completely?
Talk to your PT. Most current evidence favors loaded rehabilitation over complete rest, but the right load depends on the tendon and stage.
Does PEMF help with chronic tendinosis vs. acute tendonitis?
Some research supports use across both, though acute and chronic stages have different needs. Discuss with your PT.
Can I add hyperbaric for an acute flare?
Some members do. Hyperbaric supports tissue oxygenation broadly. Run this past your physician.
Frequency for tendon recovery?
Most tendon members come 2-3x per week for several weeks alongside PT.
