Hip Mobility & Stiffness Support — Spring, TX

Tight hips from too much sitting. Achy hips on stairs or after a run. Stiff hips that limit your squat or your hike. Mobility is a circulation and tissue problem — not just a stretching problem.

What’s going on

Hip stiffness lives at the intersection of joint health, soft tissue (psoas, glutes, adductors), neurological tone, and load. Stretching alone often doesn’t move the needle. Wellness modalities that improve circulation and reduce inflammation around the joint are often added to mobility programs.

The hip is harder to PEMF directly because of soft-tissue depth, but the modality still has research support for joint applications. Sauna and red light add the soft-tissue side.

Common signs people describe

  • Tight hips in the morning
  • Limited squat depth
  • Hip ache after sitting all day
  • Pain on the side or front of hip
  • Stiffness that warm-ups partially fix
  • Mobility has decreased over the years

How we support hip stiffness at Elevate BioWellness

Three modalities for hip joint and surrounding soft tissue.

PEMF Therapy
Developed research base for joint applications; supports recovery in joint-focused protocols.

Infrared Sauna
Heat-based circulation and soft-tissue relaxation; many members use it pre-mobility work.

Red Light Therapy
Photobiomodulation for inflammation markers and soft tissue recovery.

Important: Hip pain can indicate labral tear, arthritis, bursitis, or other conditions requiring diagnosis. Persistent hip issues should be evaluated by a physician or orthopedic specialist. These modalities are wellness support, not medical treatment.

What the research says

Peer-reviewed studies on the modalities used in this protocol. We share these for educational context, not as claims that any therapy will produce a specific result for you.

Frequently asked questions

Should I do mobility work after sauna?

Many members do. Heat-warmed tissue typically responds better to range-of-motion work.

Does cold plunge help hip stiffness?

For inflammation, sometimes — but for stiffness, heat tends to be more useful for most members. Try both, see how your body responds.

Can this help if I have a hip labral tear?

Discuss with your surgeon and PT. These modalities are not a treatment for structural injuries but may support recovery alongside medical care.

How often?

2-3x per week for 4-6 weeks is typical for hip-focused members.

Best for desk-sitting hips?

Sauna + sub-15-minute mobility homework is what most desk-sitting members run.
