Long COVID & Post-Viral Recovery Support — Spring, TX

If COVID came and went but the fatigue, brain fog, or breath issues never quite left — work with your physician on long-COVID care, and consider wellness modalities as supportive context, not treatment.

What’s going on

Post-COVID condition — also called long COVID — is now recognized by the WHO as persistent symptoms beyond 12 weeks after acute infection. Symptoms vary widely: fatigue, brain fog, exercise intolerance, breath dysregulation, autonomic issues.

Some published research has examined hyperbaric oxygen in post-viral and post-COVID populations. The clinical research uses hard-shell, higher-pressure chambers and is not equivalent to wellness HBOT. Our wellness HBOT (mild, soft-shell) is not a treatment for long COVID. Members work with their physician on long-COVID care; we offer general wellness support members may find useful alongside that care.

Common signs people describe

  • Fatigue that didn’t lift after recovery
  • Persistent brain fog post-infection
  • Reduced exercise tolerance
  • Breath that still doesn’t feel right
  • Smell or taste still ‘off’
  • Heart rate higher than your old baseline

How we support long covid / post-viral fatigue at Elevate BioWellness

The protocol most-booked by our post-COVID members.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber
The most-studied modality in published post-COVID research; supports tissue oxygenation and cellular recovery.

Red Light Therapy
Photobiomodulation has been studied for mitochondrial support, which is implicated in post-viral fatigue.

Lymphatic Compression
Members report symptomatic relief; supports circulation and recovery alongside the primary stack.

Important: Long COVID is a recognized medical condition that should be evaluated by a physician. We do not diagnose, treat, or cure long COVID. Our wellness protocols are used by members alongside, not instead of, medical care. Discuss any new wellness regimen with your healthcare provider, especially if you are immunocompromised or post-acute.

What the research says

Peer-reviewed studies on the modalities used in this protocol. We share these for educational context, not as claims that any therapy will produce a specific result for you.

Clinical research on hyperbaric oxygen in post-COVID populations
Published clinical research has examined hyperbaric oxygen at higher pressures (hard-shell chambers, ~2.0 ATA) in post-COVID populations. Wellness HBOT uses different chambers and pressures and is not equivalent to the clinical protocols studied.

Hyperbaric oxygen induces neuroplasticity in post-stroke patients
Randomized trial of higher-pressure (~2 ATA) clinical HBOT in stable post-stroke patients showed improvements in neurocognitive function and brain perfusion. Wellness HBOT uses different chambers and pressures and is not equivalent to the clinical protocols studied.

Photobiomodulation in pain and inflammation
Review summarizing red and near-infrared light’s effects on mitochondrial function, inflammation markers, and tissue repair.

Frequently asked questions

How many hyperbaric sessions are typical?

The 2022 published trial used 40 sessions over 2 months. Many wellness members start with the Standard membership and build up. Discuss frequency with your physician.

Is this covered by insurance?

No — wellness HBOT is not a covered medical service. Single sessions are $85; the Standard membership ($239/mo) includes up to 2 hyperbaric per month.

Is it safe if I’m still post-acute?

Discuss with your physician first. Generally we recommend you be past acute infection before starting any wellness protocol.

Can this help with long COVID symptoms?

We do not make that claim. The published research describes improvements in measured outcomes for studied populations; individual results vary widely. This is a wellness modality, not a medical treatment.

Can I read or work in the chamber?

Yes. Most members bring a phone or book; the pressure stabilizes quickly.
